A plastic card that uses a band of magnetic material to store data which is read by a magnetic stripe reader when swiped through a payment terminal. Also commonly referred to as a magstripe card, this card does not have a chip and uses a magnetic stripe on the back only.
It contains three tracks of data. Each track is about one-tenth of an inch wide.
Track1(IATA) : record density is 210BPI; 0 ~ 9 Numbers and A ~ Z letters can be recorded; In total, up to 79 Numbers or characters can be recorded (including start and end and check); Each character (one byte) consists of seven bits.
Track2 (ABA) : record density is 75BPI; 0 ~ 9 digits can be recorded, but a-z characters cannot be recorded. In total, up to 40 Numbers (including start and end and check) can be recorded. Each data (one byte) consists of five bits.
Track3 (THRIFT) : record density is 210BPI; Can record 0 ~ 9 Numbers, can not record A ~ Z letters; In total, you can record up to 107 Numbers or characters (including start and end and check).Each character (one byte) consists of five bits.
